Style
The church is non-denominational - not part of a particular grouping or stream. We currently don’t have a church building, but meet in Rack House School. Our meetings are welcoming, lively and fun. We place a good deal of emphasis on worship, using a contemporary style that appeals particularly to children. Our Bible teaching is geared towards life-application. We are confident that as we understand and apply God’s word, we will live lives that reflect his beauty. We try to make our services accessible to all - old & young, black & white, and especially to those who are just starting out in their walk with God. BeliefsAlthough our style is modern and informal, we hold to Christian beliefs that are traditional and orthodox. We believe in ~
In common with all true Christian churches, we hold to The Apostles' Creed, even though NMCC is completely non-liturgical. We are members of the Evangelical Alliance, and subscribe to the EA Basis of Faith. VisionWe have adopted a three-part vision statement that says something about who we are, and also something about what we seek to become: Sharing the love of JesusNorthern Moor Community Church is a group of people who are responding to the love of Jesus. The Christian message is of God’s love revealed in Jesus Christ. We want to share this love with others so that they can experience it for themselves. Serving our communityAs a church we want to be involved in and serve our local community of Northern Moor. We seek to work in partnership with other churches and organisations, meeting individual needs and building community. Growing together in GodJesus calls people to follow him and become his disciples. This is a journey of discovery and growth in which we help and support each other. We welcome and encourage others to journey with us. We aim to grow together in God’s family, building healthy relationships and valuing each person’s contribution. Find us

By 2002 we had moved again, to Piper Hill school in Northern Moor, and we renamed the church to Northern Moor Community Church, to reflect our new geographic focus, and our emphasis on community involvement. The church is sometimes still known as NCF, because it’s so much easier to say than NMCC! In 2009 Piper Hill High School moved into a brand new building, and their previous building underwent major refurbishment. Since the building was unavailable, NMCC moved again, to Rack House Primary School. |
