Submission Guidelines

NorthernMoor.Org is a community site - anyone living within Northern Moor (and anyone having a genuine community interest in our area) is welcome to post content here.

The aim of the site is to enable users to find out what's happening in our area, and to tell others about what their group or organisation is doing. It's not a free-for-all - the site moderators can edit or remove content that is deemed unsuitable.

Content

  • If you post events or news items, they should be related to Northern Moor, or be of interest to Northern Moor people.
  • Everything you write must be suitable for all ages, and all sections of the community.
  • Content that is indecent, racist, or insulting will not be tolerated. Offensive language will be deleted.
  • Please use the "Preview" button and read your postings before submitting them.
  • If you write a blog, it can be about any subject you like, but you must still adhere to these content guidelines.
  • If your article invites comments from others, you should review the comments and edit or delete anything offensive.

Any user who persistently abuses the site by posting inappropriate content may be barred.

Style

  • Please write in complete sentences, and check your spelling. Remember you can edit your content at any time.
  • If your content is about a particular community group, write the name of the group in the "subject tag". This will enable users to find related articles.
  • In general, News Items and Events that relate to community groups should be written in the third person ("they did this", rather than "we did this"), but blog entries and comments are written in the first person ("I think this, I want that").

NorthernMoor.Org hosts and moderators regularly review postings, but we cannot be help responsible for content posted by others. If you see something on this site that should be edited or deleted, please let us know by using the Contact form.
